Examination

The majority of patients that attend our practice will usually only require routine dental treatment. We offer six monthly dental examinations to help identify and prevent problems form occurring.

With Children and young Adults we use educational and motivational tools to promote and or maintain good dental health.

Fillings

A dental restoration (or a filling) is a treatment to restore the integrity and function of a tooth that’s been damaged due to decay or external trauma.

Fillings are made from a variety of materials, amalgam (silver), composite (white) and glass ionomer.

It is important to get regular dental check-ups to ensure that cavities are filled as soon as possible so that your teeth remain healthy.

Tooth Extractions

Unfortunately teeth need to be extracted for several reasons, severe decay, advanced periodontal disease, position in the mouth or in preparation for orthodontic treatments.

If it becomes necessary to extract a tooth sufficient local anaesthetic is applied to your mouth so that during the procedure, all you will feel is some pressure.

Root Canal Therapy

A root canal is the space within the root of a tooth, it is part of the naturally occurring space within a tooth.

In the case where a tooth is considered so threatened because of decay, cracking or infection a root canal treatment may be necessary to remove the pulp, clean the canal and seal the tooth, effectively protecting and saving the tooth.
